I’m Aaron R. Stewart.
This blog is dedicated to my journey to be more healthy. Its an ongoing battle, which seems to pick up intensity as I get older. I have tried a variety of diets and programs, but now I am just recording and tracking what I eat, exercising, and using the concept of a caloric savings account as my method to lose weight. I use the iPhone app Lose It! to track my calories and add my exercise. It is an incredible app. I workout with a trainer twice a week, and then to aerobic workouts on M, W, F & S. That’s basically it, I have a certain amount of calories I can eat each day, 1600. If I want to eat more than that, and I usually do, then I have to exercise to “earn” enough calories to allow me to eat more. So if I exercise an hour and burn 500 calories, then I have 2100 for that day. That is the program.
This is the method my wife (a former Miss Utah) has used for her entire life to remain pin thin, and smoking hot. Good enough for me.
Ultimately my goal is to get down to 199. I was 195 when we got married, but I’m 11 years older now.
My wife has made me a pretty great promise if I can get to that weight, and for all you women out there, if you make the same promise to your husbands, I promise you, your guys will fight like mad to get down to their “fighting” weights.
