Lose it, or… well… die.

Weigh in: 240

I was ordered to lose weight by my doctor, I was promised the world from my wife if I could get down to 199lbs.  This is a report on my quest, and an accounting of my progress.  I began this journey at a hefty 240, my goal, as you may have guessed…  199lbs.  Let the nightmare begin.

I started this morning with 30 minutes on the stationary bike.  Not to bad, I was able to read the entire time.  I am reading the latest Vince Flynn book, not bad.  He tends to overwrite things, but I like the subject matter.  I had a small bowl of Honeynut Cheerios and skim milk for breakfast. The Lose It! iPhone apps tells me I have burned 445 in exercise, and taken in 282 calories of breakfast, so I am -163 calories for the day.  Good start.

My real challenge is when I get home from work, way too many treats to tempt me.  Day one, off to a good start.

12:15 – Plain turkey sandwich with avocado on wheat bread for lunch.  Lose It! tells me that is 290 calories, so net calories so far is 127.  No wonder I want to take a bite out of my desk.

Day ended fine, no late night treats, so that was excellent.  Finished the day taking in 1,163 net calories, with 445 being burned from exercise.  So not too bad.
